Our school is located in the South-West Queensland hub of Charleville, situated on the banks of the Warrego River approximately 780 kilometres west of Brisbane. Built in 1961, Charleville State High School was opened on 21 July 1962 and over the years has been lovingly maintained along with the addition of a range of buildings and facilities.
Charleville State High School promotes participation, responsibility and achievement for all through a positive approach to learning and behaviour. We work hand-in-hand with our local community in encouraging students to embrace the future through innovative educational partnerships.
Our aim is to achieve the best educational outcomes for every student in our school to enable them to develop to their full potential as independent and socially responsible citizens for the 21st century. Charleville State High School supports this through a focus on high quality pedagogy and striving to provide a safe and supportive learning environment.
Achievements are recognised and celebrated through a variety of forums including; Awards Nights, Induction Ceremonies, School Assemblies, School Newsletter, School Facebook page and the School magazine. Many other opportunities exist to highlight individual achievement and, through its celebration, encourage the positive behaviour that has made such achievement possible.
I encourage you to further explore the website for more information about our great school and extend a warm welcome to those who are joining us.
